A Developing Mind Academy and The Circle of Care Early Childhood Center hold week-long Summer Camps through the months of June, July and August. Parents may have their children attend for the entire summer or sign them up for individual camps.

This is an exciting week of sensory fun! Special activities include yoga in the park with a guest yoga instructor, learning about Braille, Art with a guest from the library outreach program, and many more fun activities that will challenge our senses. Please bring a beach towel on Thursday for Yoga in the park.
We will be exploring oceans, rivers and lakes with an exciting week of water fun! Special activities include a field trip to Falls Park for fishing and scenic walks, ocean crafts and water games.
Get ready to put your brain to work! For STEM challenge week, children will have the opportunity to engage in daily STEM challenges, while building practical teamwork and leadership skills. Children will become engineers, scientists, and mathematicians as they solve real-world problems all while having fun!
This week will be ALL ABOUT BUILDING, ALL THE TIME!!! We will have a week of engineering to challenge our creative minds. Special activities include a building day with the library outreach program, marble mazes, and a Lego building contest!
Ahoy Matey! For Pirate week, children will be able to join Jack Sparrow and his crew, cracking secret codes, designing treasure maps, navigating rough seas, and digging for buried treasure. X marks the spot-but don’t walk the plank!
This week will be a wonderful exploration of our local Native American traditions, art and culture. We will visit the Cataldo Mission on Wednesday July 20th and spend the day at the Julyamsh PowWow at the Coeur d’Alene Fairgrounds Friday July 22nd.
This week will be a fun opportunity to learn more about our planet and our solar system through science, astronomy and art activities. Astronaut Educator Joe Bruce will join us for a personal look at NASA.
Get ready for team building and sportsmanship in our own Summer Olympics. We will have opening and closing ceremonies, medal ceremonies and Olympic Games including hurdles, archery, and other. The following 4 countries will be represented: USA, FRANCE, IRELAND and NORWAY…
We will spend the week “traveling” around the world. Each student will create a passport in which they can use to experience games, food, celebrations, and art from around the world. Be ready to have fun experiencing new and exciting cultures!
Get ready to explore the outdoors in this week of camping fun! Special activities include life size board games from the library outreach program, a bug hunt in the park, a field trip to Q’emiln Park for paddle boarding, and s’mores… We will let you know the week before the date of our paddle boarding field trip, it will depend on the weather.
We will spend the week experiencing food preparation, crafts, chores and handwork of yesteryear. We will visit a Greenbluff Farm on Wednesday August 24th to pick our own raspberries that we will then make into jam to share with our family.
During the course of the week we will tap into our creative side through various art projects, and activities that will explore different art mediums.
